Moxy-400

Moxy-400 is a broad spectrum penicillin antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections in poultry. Moxy-400 has activity against penicillin-sensitive Gram-positive bacteria, as well as some Gram-negative bacteria. The gram-positive spectrum of activity includes alpha- and beta-hemolytic streptococci, some Staphylococci species, and Clostridia species.

Moxy-400 is most commonly given to birds who were recently attacked by a predator, to help prevent pasteurellosis (fowl cholera) from bites or scratches.

It acts through the inhibition of cell wall biosynthesis that leads to the death of the bacteria.

Inclusion

For oral administration:

 55-200 mg/kg PO or 200-1500 mg/L drinking water (B Speer). or as advised by Veterinarian

Storage Recommendation:

Store in a cool and dry place. Avoid direct heat and sunlight. Keep the container tightly closed and out of reach of children.
